Aw, crap. Megadeth/Slayer tour postponed

I read the news today, oh boy. This ruins my week.

Read for yourself. This came in this evening, hot from the presses at Roadrunner Records.

AMERICAN CARNAGE TOUR FEATURING MEGADETH, SLAYER AND TESTAMENT POSTPONED

MEGADETH TO ANNOUNCE HEADLINE TOUR FOR MARCH AND APRIL

New York, NY– The much anticipated American Carnage Tour, featuring hard rock behemoths Megadeth, Slayer and Testament has been put on hold due to health issues.  Slayer’s bassist/vocalist Tom Araya is in need of back surgery which cannot be postponed.

While disappointed by the tour’s delay, Megadeth are concerned for Araya and wish him a speedy recovery.

Megadeth are currently scheduling a U.S. headline run for March and April, and hope to reschedule the American Carnage tour for Summer ’10.  Anyone who has purchased an American Carnage ticket should hold onto it until further notice. Please visit www.megadeth.com for the latest updates.

  1. Yeah..this sucks!! They all said to hold on to your tickets. Ticketmaster already credited back my card, so I don’t know if we should hold on to the tickets or not. I contacted Dave McRobb (Megadeth Webmaster) and he said just see what happens….
    Hopefully we will know soon!

  2. Gosh, it sure would be nice to be able to contact you via email. I read an article you wrote for the Messenger Inquirer and can’t find an email address for you anywhere on their site. What’s the deal with that, why are they hiding everyone’s contact info?

    Thanks,
